Medieval Studies Program Essay Award

UVA's Medieval Studies program is offering an award for the best undergraduate submission to Quill & Quire: The Undergraduate Medieval Review during the 2025-2026 academic year.
 
In extraordinary cases, additional awards may be offered.
 
Award carries a $500 cash prize.
 
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 5 April 2026, 5pm
To be considered for the award, author must be an undergraduate at UVA at the time of the award, and Quill & Quire must receive your submission by April 5, 2026.
 
Authors are limited to a single submission.
